Miranda is a third year PhD student especially interested in the novels of the 18th and 19th centuries. This year, while preparing for qualifying exams, she hopes to explore the intersection between literature and architecture, from early gothic novels to later literary realism.
Jesslyn is a fourth year PhD student who works on transhistorical poetics. She’s interested in urban uprisings, archives and data, and contemporary poetry’s entanglements with the 18th-century.
